TOOLMAKER / FITTER & Turner– Germiston – Market Related
We are seeking a skilled Senior Toolmaker in the Heavy Steel Manufacturing Industry, to support new product development, prototyping, and tooling innovation within a steel manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an experienced artisan with strong problem-solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities Manufacture and assemble prototype components for new product designs Design, modify, and maintain press tools, cutting tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and templates Support product development trials and testing Interpret engineering drawings, CAD designs, and technical specifications Identify tooling and process inefficiencies and support Lean/Kaizen initiatives Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration of tooling Ensure compliance with ISO, SANS, and OHSA requirements Minimum Requirements Trade Tested Toolmaker or Fitter & Turner 3–5 years experience in steel manufa...
