Support road safety as a Traffic Controller with Cavanagh in Ottawa. Your role will involve guiding traffic through construction areas for optimal safety.
Cavanagh is on the lookout for a dedicated Traffic Controller to manage traffic flow at construction sites. You will utilize hand signals, collaborate with other flaggers, and keep the construction team informed of any traffic issues. This position requires travel to various locations and the ability to work in various weather scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
• Use hand signals and signs to direct traffic
• Maintain communication with other flaggers
• Alert construction crews to relevant traffic issues
• Set warning and detour signage accurately
Requirements:
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation is a must
• Must travel to sites in Ottawa and Pembroke
• Strong positive attitude necessary
• Physical endurance for standing outdoors
