Overview
The Transport Safety Lead ensures all dispatch and delivery locations meet safety requirements by identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures. The role involves using new technologies to evaluate driving behaviour, analysing telematics data, and intervening to promote safe driving practices. It requires close collaboration with Delivery Teams and Transporters to coordinate and monitor training, track performance, and identify improvement opportunities. The role also oversees safety programmes, participates in operational audits, and manages recruitment, orientation and training of commercial vehicle drivers and related personnel in line with policy.
