Role: Transportation Technician 3
Location: Memphis, TN 38120 (Onsite Position)
Duration: 3-6 Months Contract (but is subject to extension upon good performance)
Job Description:
An advanced level position that ensures safe and efficient traffic movement and monitors roadways including detecting, confirming, updating, and responding to scheduled and unscheduled traffic incidents, congestion, and travel time imbalances.
• 2nd Shift: Tuesday-Thursday 1:30 pm - 11:00 pm; Friday 1:30 pm - 10:30 pm (OR)
• 3rd Shift: Saturday-Monday 6.00 AM to 6.30 pm Tasks include: Advanced level operator position performing functions with minimal supervision and to established procedures. To perform all duties and may defer the most complex issues to a supervisor. To operate various computer-based traffic management systems to manage traffic and incidents on roadways and improve traffic conditions.
