Med-Surg Cardiac Medical Unit

Tell us about the unit:
- Number of Beds – 23 with 1 treatment room
- Number of Staff – 58
- Type of staff:
- Day Shift – (CNC/Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 2 PCT, 1 MT, and 1 Dept Co till 7pm)
- Night Shift - (CNC/Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 2 PCT, 1 MT)
- Patient Ratios – Days/Eves RNs (1-4) Nights (1-5)
- Type of equipment – Telemetry monitoring with some rooms hard-wired; vein finder for IV therapy, portable pulse oximetry, as well as, continuous oximetry, manual/automatic vital sign machine capabilities, blood glucose, mechanical lifts, dopplers, etc.
- EMR – Allscrilpts, medication scanning capabilities, soft-lab
