Job Description
Responsibilities
- Providing specialized nursing care for Woodland Wellness Centre participants
- Evaluating participant progress and updating care plan based on nursing assessment
- Performing nursing treatment and procedures as ordered by the physician which would include, but not limited to: sterile dressings, injections, medication administration, monitoring blood pressures and monitoring blood glucose level
- Transcribing medications to the medication administration record (MAR) and updating weekly
- Developing comprehensive care plans, monitoring and adjusting participants care on an ongoing basis
- Maintaining participant confidentiality as per the Lac La Ronge Indian Band policy
- Documenting appropriate information on participants health record
- Acting as a participant advocate and liaison between community programs and LLRIB
