Job Description
An auto mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to ensure they are safe and functional. Key duties typically include:
- Diagnosing Issues: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems with engines, brakes, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
- Performing Repairs: Replace or repair damaged parts such as brakes, tires, belts, and engines.
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and other preventive maintenance to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Testing and Inspecting: Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs are complete and everything is functioning correctly.
