Responsibilities
- Assist the HOD in ensuring good quality design outputs, as per the relevant procedures.
- Produce the agreed deliverables as per the project requirement and schedules in a cost-effective manner.
- Provide manhour and material cost estimates for proposals.
- Develop other junior personnel’s skill by providing on the job training and appraising their performance.
- Provide advice and check work in his fields of expertise when required.
- When assigned as a Lead Engineer on a project, the additional responsibilities are:
- Advise the HOD the manpower and skill levels required, to ensure smooth execution of the project.
- Assign work to the project team appropriately.
- Liaise with other departments, clients and third parties as required by the project.
- Be overall responsible for the quality of the work produced.
