Tutor - SEND / SEMH (Out of School) - Gateshead & Newcastle upon Tyne
We are recruiting experienced tutors to work with SEND and SEMH pupils currently out of school, delivering structured 1:1 support in Gateshead and Newcastle upon Tyne.
Location: Gateshead / Newcastle upon Tyne (community settings / home-based learning)
Hours: Flexible (daytime availability essential)
Pay: £27-£30 per hour
Requirements (non-negotiable):
- Active DBS on the Update Service
- Strong teaching/tutoring experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH
- Experience supporting pupils with barriers to education (e.g. anxiety, behaviour needs, trauma)
- Confident managing behaviour and re-engaging disengaged learners
- Able to plan personalised sessions and evidence progress
