Job Description
- Obtains comprehensive relevant patient data by: (a) conducting an interview; (b) correctly obtaining vital signs, including pain; using focused or systems- based advanced assessment techniques; (d) correctly interpreting data obtained from monitoring equipment; and (e) correctly interpreting diagnostic results. Maintains comprehensive, accurate, concise, and up to date record of patient care. Follows procedures and policies for all aspects of clinical charting and reporting. Encodes patient data in the Clinical information and Management Systems.
- Draft the patient's medical abstract at his/her request and ensure that it is examined and signed by the attending physicians before issuance to the requesting patient. Be sensitive to the patient's demands; begins steps that will comply with their requirements, meeting and beyond their expectation.
