Job Description
An Upholstery Technician is responsible for repairing restoring and maintaining furniture and other upholstered items. They work with various materials like fabric leather foam and wood to ensure that furniture is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
- Repair or replace damaged frames springs and other structural components.
- Restore wornout upholstery by replacing or recovering with new fabric or leather.
- Rebuild cushions and padding to restore comfort and functionality.
- Provide quotes and time estimates for upholstery work.
- Ensure that the finished product meets customer expectations in terms of quality appearance and functionality.
- Inspect all work to ensure it meets quality standards and fix any issues or defects before completing the project.
- Maintain and repair upholstery tools and equipment.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed while using machinery or tools.
