Department: YVMC UC OP
Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Flex
Pay: $22.54 - $33.81 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
+ Provides emergent/urgent patient care under the direction of a physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and/or registered nurse.
+ Responsibilities:
+ Coordinates flow of patients in the department to optimize throughput; keeps patients apprised of delays.
+ Observes patients and notifies the provider and/or RN immediately if patient appears in distress. Prepares patients to see the provider; assists prior to, during, and following examination.
+ Inserts Foley catheters, performs complex splinting, and performs venipuncture for the purpose of drawing blood or inserting a saline lock.
