Job Description
Position Summary and Scope of Responsibility:
- Manual work involving semi-skilled tasks in the installation, repair, and maintenance of municipal water distribution and sewer collection systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Locate water and sewer lines; replace and repair water/sewer lines, valves, and manhole cover. .
- Repair leaks, rebuild fire hydrants; serve as helper or assistant to skilled personnel .
- Flag and direct traffic and establish traffic control measure to include installation of appropriate signaling devices .
Drive trucks; operate mechanized equipment; used hand tools, jack hammer, pipe wrenches; Physical Requirements:
- Sufficient physical strength to lift at least L00 pounds.
