The Veterinary Nurse / Technician provides quality nursing care and medical support to animal patients while assisting veterinarians in examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and surgeries. This role ensures patient safety, proper medication administration, post-operative care, accurate medical records, and excellent client support.
Patient Care and Clinical Support
- Assist veterinarians during animal examinations, consultations, treatments, and procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor animal patients before, during, and after procedures or treatments
- Provide post-operative nursing care and continuous patient observation
- Handle animals safely, compassionately, and professionally to minimize stress and ensure welfare
