We are a large new Veterinary Hospital located in Squamish, staffed by 5 DVMs and a highly experienced team of 6 RVTs. We have been voted the best Veterinary Practice in town for 17 of the last 18 years.
Program Details
The NVA Canada VT Practicum Program is designed for final‑year veterinary technician students who want real‑world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Practicums range from two to eight weeks and cover patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and communication with medical teams and clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and RVTs in patient care
- Perform laboratory procedures and process samples
- Support anesthesia and surgical assistance tasks
- Participate in radiology imaging and interpretation
- Improve communication skills with medical teams and clients
