The Online Communications Unit (OCU), the Manila-based branch of the IOM Media and Communications Unit, focuses on several key areas: managing the digital environment, ensuring IOM’s online presence is a strategic priority, maintaining consistency in brand representation, guiding colleagues through web‑management training, and providing swift and effective responses to web‑based demands.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of an SEO content strategy incorporating AI, AEO and GEO based on comprehensive keyword research to drive organic traffic to the IOM global website.
- Optimize and maintain the ranking of IOM websites on search engines, with particular focus on the IOM global website.
- Implement on‑page optimizations—meta tags, headings, and content structure—to target keywords while adhering to search engine guidelines and best practices for structured data and natural language processing.
