This project offers an opportunity for native US English speakers who are beginner learners of French (France) or Spanish (LatAm) to contribute to the advancement of speech recognition and pronunciation evaluation technologies. Participants will use a web-based tool to record themselves reading a series of words and sentences, following clear online instructions. The work is straightforward and can be completed remotely, requiring approximately 5.5 hours in total. The project is scheduled to begin next week, and all recordings must be completed in a quiet environment using Google Chrome on a computer. A short, free proficiency test will be administered to confirm language learning status before participation.
