ROLE OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods. This role ensures accurate stock management and a safe, organised working environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods against purchase orders or delivery notes
- Store materials in designated locations following FIFO and labelling procedures
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently in line with dispatch schedules
- Assist in loading outbound shipments and verifying delivery documentation
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits
- Support delivery man as cargo hand when required
- Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the warehouse supervisor promptly
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, trolleys, or forklifts (if certified)
