Watch Engineer or Fireman Sunday 7am-3PM Sunday and Monday 11PM-7AM, Friday and Saturday 3PM-11PM, off Tuesday-Thursday Responsibilities
+ Boiler Operations: Tend boilers to maintain correct pressure and safe water levels; clean and recondition them for inspections.
+ Routine Maintenance: Clean/change fuel oil strainers, replace packing glands on leaking valves, and lubricate power house equipment.
+ System Testing: Run the diesel generator and air compressor weekly to ensure optimal operating conditions.
+ Monitoring & Records: Take hourly readings on steam, oil, water, air, and AC equipment; maintain basic boiler room logs.
