Water Balance Modeller
The Water Balance Modeller supports Aurecon’s commitment to shaping a sustainable and resilient future by delivering robust, data‑driven water balance and flood modelling solutions. The role applies climate data analysis and advanced hydrologic and hydraulic modelling to inform safe, sustainable and client‑focused outcomes across infrastructure, energy and mining projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform statistical analysis of climate data such as rainfall, evaporation and streamflow
- Calibrate rainfall‑runoff models of various waterways using the Australian Water Balance Model (AWBM)
- Develop, calibrate and simulate water balance models
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic (1D/2D) modelling to assess flooding on linear infrastructure and various energy and mining projects
