SUMMARY:
A top engineering consultancy is seeking a Water Resource Engineer to join their Hydrology team in Sandton. Requirements:
- BSc Eng (civil) / BEng (civil)
- Preferably MSc or MEng in Hydrology and Hydraulics
- 5 to 7 years’ relevant experience aligned with the responsibilities listed below
- Experience in the development and assessment of water balances using GoldSim is a requirement for this position.
- Valid South African driver’s license.
POSITION INFO:
The position entails carrying out hydrological analyses focused mainly on, but not limited to:
- Acquisition and processing of hydrological data (rainfall, runoff, evaporation)
- Hydrological parameters (e.g., MAP, MAE, MAR)
- Catchment delineation
- Surface water runoff calculations (e.g., MAR, seasonal and dry weather flows) for site-specific catchment areas ...
