Weekend Patient Care Assistant (PCA) – Permanent (16hrs per week)
Job Location & Shift Pattern
Newmarket/Cambridge – 16 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts every Saturday and Sunday (6:30am–2:30pm or 10:30am–6:30pm, generally alternating each weekend). Participation in the bank holiday rota is required.
Salary
£10,680.40 per annum.
Overview
Work within a ward‑based setting at our purpose‑built specialist veterinary hospital. As a Weekend PCA, you will be involved in all aspects of the care of our canine and feline patients, from admission to discharge. This varied, hands‑on role includes basic animal husbandry, supporting patients during specialist procedures and administering oral medications. You will also maintain cleanliness and stock levels within the wards, following infection control protocols.
