Position Summary
Provide welding, mechanical and design support to troubleshoot, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on Port or Plant.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment or machinery
- Diagnose, design and repair metal parts of mechanical assets and infrastructure that include but are not limited to buildings, machinery, small equipment, access gate hardware, lighting, heavy equipment and container handling equipment
- Provide time estimates for repairs based on material quantity and hours
- Use hand tools, hoists, pressure gauges, drills, grinding wheels, and other tools proficiently to carry out assigned tasks
