Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and sketches
- Setting up welding equipment and selecting the correct materials
- Conducting tests on welds
- Repairing metal components
- Monitoring and maintaining welding equipment
- Inspecting finished products for quality assurance
- Ensuring that all safety protocols are followed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in welding, preferably with mild steel, stainless steel or aluminum
- A certification in welding is highly preferred but not required
