Our state-of-the-art investment casting facility in La Porte, Indiana is seeking an experienced Weld Engineer to join our team. Nestled halfway between South Bend and Chicago, along the shores of Lake Michigan - our facility in La Porte, Indiana supplies jet engine components to some of the most trusted names in the Aerospace industry.
As a Welding Specialist at our growing La Porte facility, this position will be responsible for improvements and control of weld repair/fabrication of super alloy castings as well as ensuring all welds meet Class “A” requirements.
Job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Train new production TIG welders.
+ Monitor workmanship and continuous performance of current welders.
+ Manage welder certification and biannual recertification program
+ Plan and execute repairs on potentially scrap castings.
+ Monitor weld quality yields.
