Job Description
The Wheelchair Transport Driver operates Bigfoot Medicare’s wheelchair transport vehicles, ensuring the safe, timely, and compassionate transfer of patients to and from healthcare facilities or residences.
Operational Tasks- Operate the assigned medical transport vehicle safely and professionally, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company SOPs.
- Provide a caring and professional transport service to all patients.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks in accordance with SOPs, verifying that the vehicle is clean, road-worthy, and properly equipped.
- Ensure safe use and handling of all transport aids — stretchers, carry chairs, wheelchairs, clamps, and seat belts — with patient safety as the highest priority.
- Transport patients between hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers, and residences.
