Job Description
Take a pivotal role as a Registered Nurse at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences in Whitby, working part-time within the Forensic Program. Deliver specialized patient care with a recovery-oriented approach.
This position offers a unique chance to work in a secure forensic environment dedicated to treating patients with severe mental illnesses. As a part of the Forensic Rehabilitation Unit, you will assume leadership responsibilities and collaborate closely with interprofessional teams. You may also have opportunities to progress into the Patient Care Facilitator role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the forensic setting
• Lead and support team efforts in patient rehabilitation
• Execute Charge nurse responsibilities when needed
• Facilitate assessment and treatment plans for clients
• Champion the Recovery model in all aspects of care
