Job Description

Wireless Field Telecoms Technician (Somerset West or Swellendam)

Excellent opportunity to join this well-established Telecommunications Company. Candidate must live in Somerset West ideally. Our client also has a role where the candidate must be based in Swellendam.

Duties & Responsibilities

Field technicians provide field assistance in network maintenance, network build and CPE installations and faults.

  • Installation of brackets, microwave antennas and routers.
  • Fully capable of configuring routers, radios, VOIP phones (Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, etc.).
  • Cable Management.
  • Fault finding/troubleshooting. Installation and configuration of PTP and PTMP links.
  • High site construction.
  • Working at heights certified.
  • Medically clear. No health issues.
  • Skilled to work with power tools.
