Thank you for your interest in undertaking work experience with Georges River Council.
We are currently reviewing applications for candidates interested in completing work experience for term three of 2026.
Our work experience program provides students with an unpaid opportunity to gain on-the-job experience, an insight into varied departments and professions within our local government area.
Work experience placements are available throughout the year and are offered based on your details provided within your application.
Consideration of work experience is made on the following basis:
- The area of interest and whether the work area can provide an effective on-the-job experience.
- Date and duration of the placement
Due to the high volumes of requests received the number and timing of work experience is not always guaranteed.
