Job TitleYard Driver
Job OverviewThe Yard Driver is primarily responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the company needs. The Yard Driver will also be responsible for completing local deliveries as needed. Other responsibilities include:
+ Operate Yard Truck to maneuver and park large, oversized loads.
+ Responsible for accounting for records involving container numbers.
+ Must function and interact daily with distribution center personnel and comply with safety requirements.
+ Communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with dispatch, operations, and personnel.
+ Move trailers in and out of bays, inspect new deliveries and provide support where needed.
+ Maintain a safe work environment and practice safe work habits per company policies.
+ Wear and proper use of personal protective equipment.
