Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Dance Coach is pivotal in crafting and leading the dance program at our summer dance camp. Responsibilities include developing engaging dance activities, managing class dynamics, maintaining parent communication, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and the YMCA of South Florida's Risk Management policies.
Essential Functions/ Job Duties:
• Design and implement age-appropriate dance activities and routines that cater to different skill levels and dance genres.
• Create detailed lesson plans focusing on dance techniques, expressions, and performances.
• Foster a nurturing environment that promotes self-esteem, confidence, and positive social interactions among participants.
• Maintain regular and clear communication with program stakeholders regarding the dance program and children's progress.
